Tech Tips & Restorations

  • Register

Thanks to Sir William Lyons'' visionary mind as a designer and engineer - we enthusiasts of his "classic" motor vehicles have established a Register to enjoy the camaraderie and nostalgia of owning and driving this magnificent marque.

The Gippsland register (previously the ''Eastern Register'', formed in 1984) is a multi model register. It is geographically representative of enthusiasts, in the eastern aspect of Victoria. Regular members come from Drouin to Lakes Entrance in the east Yarram in the south to Omeo in the north. Members & visitors have the opportunity to discuss these superb classic vehicles .... taking time to provide and accept guidance about mechanical or coachwork problems. A wonderful opportunity to grow friendships and have fun together with like minded people.

By alternating ''meetings'' from one end of Gippsland to the other - makes it fair & equitable for regular attendees. We share the organising, to lighten the burden, thus linking visitors with attractions in local region.

The ''meetings '' include a tour to a lunch destination, followed by visiting interesting garages, site seeing or meeting like minded motoring enthusiast. Once or twice a year extending the tour to a full weekend inclusive of an overnight stay.

The success of the Register is that we aim to cater for members & partners interests & passions. Exploring new towns, shops, antiques, attractions, like minded motoring enthusiast, tight curly bends and .... keeping on the bitumen.

Because of the distance between members & the diversity of models - few garage nights are held.

We welcome visitors and members to join our merry bunch .... of XJ''s, XK140, XJC, XJS, Etype''s, Mark 2''s, XK150, S-types new & old plus other odd marque driven by folk who''s Jaguar is being repaired or restored or folk who have a lustful eye for our classic marque )

Apart from our regular monthly dinner meetings, activities are usually held every 4 - 6 weeks.

Refer to Cat-A-Log or the Events page for details.

We would love to see you at our next meeting.
