Club breakup at the Bartons with Judy Barton and Coral Lyon

The final event for 2018 was our club end of year picnic on the 9 December. The day commenced with a little bit of shopping at Santa’s Place followed by a very relaxing picnic lunch at Ian and Judy Barton’s home. Their hospitality once again was greatly appreciated. A special thank you to the Social Team for organising the day.

I believe this year is the year of the pig! According to my source the Pig occupies the last position (12) in the Chinese Zodiac. Apparently you are a “Pig Chinese Zodiac native” if you were born in 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995 …a few other years listed but I think these are relative to our members. These people are in luck – for us it will be a great year to make money and a good year to invest!

Is there room in the garage for a collectable Jaguar – I wonder?

Perhaps over the holiday break you have been fortunate to have a new Jaguar in your garage. If so I will look forward to seeing it on club runs soon. The Social team has an interesting list of runs and outings planned for you all to participate in again this year.

As always the first quarter of the year is spoilt for choice with motoring events. Take advantage of this either with our club or with family and friends. The best advice any technician will give you is “Jaguars MUST be used.”

One of the most important events in the first quarter is the 50th Jaguar National Rally that our club is hosting in Albury/Wodonga on 29 March to 1 April.. If you have not yet registered I encourage you to book now. www.jaguarnationalrally.org.au

By the time you read this some will already be in to the swing of club outings again. Register breakfasts and the Claytons run to Somers were part of the January calendar of events.

Our monthly meetings commence on February 5 with a Concour Presentation Dinner at the clubrooms. You must book on Trybooking to attend the dinner. If you are unable to partake of the dinner you are most welcome to come along to the meeting as usual commencing at 8.00pm

All the best for the year ahead.

Happy motoring
