Attention all Club Permit Holders

Any member with a permit due or coming due should send it to Neville and Robyn Lockstone within the next two weeks (March 29). After that, and only if it is urgent, mail to the JCCV, PO Box 4263, Mulgrave, 3170, from April 9 to 20.

Permits also can be signed at the monthly club meeting on Tuesday, April 3.

Any questions please call Neville and Robyn on 9589 1916.

Sunday, April 1 – JCCV club run to Flinders Motoring Heritage Display Day

Register online through the Trybooking link: https://www.trybooking.com/TQGY  The fee is waived for JCCV members.

A reminder: Your car will be on display to the public all day. Any questions contact the JCCV social team.

Learn more about electric car technology and performance from our guest speakers from Tesla at the April monthly club meeting. One or two Tesla cars will be on the floor for close inspection.  At this stage, a pre meeting film is not planned. Bar open @ 7 pm and meeting begins at 8 pm.

The 2018 Jaguar National Rally April 12 – April 20, 2018 in South Australia.

The rally will also be a national gathering of XKs to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the release of the XK 120 and the new XK engine.

The full programme and booking information (including accommodation) is available on the website http://www.jaguarnationalrally2018.com/  Organisers want to gather as many XKs as possible for this event.

Saturday, May 27 and Sunday May 28 – Historic Winton Weekend

Historic Winton is Australia’s longest running, all-historic race meeting. This year will mark the event’s 42nd anniversary.

The JCCV is usually well represented at the two-day event with the likes of Gary Ball and Ivan Stephens on the track with their amazing Jaguars. See Ivan on the track at last year’s event (below). This is a terrific weekend for both spectators and competitors.

JCCV Library

Our club library is well stocked with a range of DVDs, magazines and books thanks to the untiring efforts of John Edgar. See April CAT-A-LOG for the new additions. It would be great to see members make more use of this useful resource. The library is open on monthly club nights and at the monthly E-Type Register nights.
