Thursday, August 17 - The XJ Register’s Tyre Talk

Organised by XJ register secretary Fazal Cader who has called the event When the Rubber hits the Road this interesting night will feature tyre technology in laymen’s terms that all can understand. It will also include a talk on the history surrounding the 90-year relationship between Jaguar and Dunlop.

The venue will be at Beaurepaires, 1297 Malvern Rd, Malvern (next door to the ULR Jaguar Land Rover showroom).

There is a limit of 50 attendees and it will be necessary to book early with Fazal on This email address is being protected from spambots. So get in quickly!

Sunday, August 20 – Maling Road Auto Classico

The JCCV will take part in the Maling Road Auto Classico, at the attractive village shopping street in Canterbury. Clubs have been invited to display no more than seven classic cars to promote their marque. The JCCV will take part as the number of cars required is small and should not impact on the this Sunday’s  regular monthly run. At this stage we have the required number of cars. If anyone would like to be on the waiting list in case of a withdrawal, please contact Ann at This email address is being protected from spambots. Clean as Casper contributions collected – more needed

Clean as Casper, a small voluntary organisation that provides mobile hot showers for the homeless in Melbourne’s south east suburbs, were thrilled with the two large bags of toiletries and towels they collected from the clubrooms recently. More toiletries and used towels are always needed so a clean out of the linen and bathrooms cupboards should yield some more useful items for the organisation.

Club Platers must provide a self-addressed stamped envelope

Some JCCV members have been a bit slack in sending their club plate renewals. A $1 stamped, self-addressed envelope is required with the form.

Be advised also that JCCV members’ club plates cease to be current seven (7) days after June 30, if they have not paid their membership fee is still outstanding.

It is a condition of the Club Permit Scheme that a member is financial of their sponsoring club at all times.

If anyone has a problem call or email the Lockstones and explain This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  Robyn and Neville do their very best to help JCCV club platers.
