XKWe cover all of Victoria but many activities may only be within range of Melbourne however some like the SA BORDER RUN held annually are
suitable for everyone to attend.  We have one starting point at Lakes Entrance and others in the West of Victoria as well as Melbourne for this
event. We welcome all members to our tours particular those members who have had an XK in the past and wish to catch up with old friends. Come in your other Jaguar modern or classic or non marque car.

The XK series of Jaguar Sports Cars was without a doubt the most significant advancement in both design and engineering the motoring public was to experience for many years.

From being basically a promotional vehicle and test-bed for the new XK engine, the XK 120 immediately established itself as a leading sports car of the era.

The race and rally successes the XKs achieved were further evidence of the excellence of the Jaguar design/ engineering teams skills.

The XK engine was more specifically planned for the forthcoming new sedan series (MK7 released 1951). The longevity of the XK motor in its several forms must rate amongst the very top in engineering advances.The initial aluminium bodied (timbered frame) cars soon gave way to high production techniques to meet the world wide demand for this great vehicle.

The first change came in 1951 when the beautiful coupe model was released.

Development of the car continued with the XK140 (1954) and by 1957 the XK150 was a most sophisticated piece of machinery.
