The Jaguar Car Club of Victoria displayed over 50 E-Type Jaguars ranging from the very first model as released to the public in 1961 through to the last of the models when they ended their production run in 1974, at this year’s Concours and Display Day which was held on Sunday, November 27, on the oval, at the Wesley College Glen Waverley campus, Glen Waverley. We thank Wesley College once again for the use of their Robin Oval and commend their groundsman, Rob Savedra for his fine preparation

The club marked the E-Type Jaguar’s special anniversary with an extensive display of this highly recognizable and desirable model, which is rarely seen in such numbers in any single gathering. This display of members cars was admirably supported by a fine trade display from our major sponsor "Glenn Olsens E-Type Restorations". He was supported by a number of his staff and brought along an astonishing example of one of his finished projects and a hand made "lightweight" body.

Other models on display included pre-war SS vehicles to the latest super sleek and highly advanced aluminium-bodied XK super cars, which gave visitors the opportunity to see some of the finest examples of this marque spanning over 75 years of production.

More than 250 Jaguars were on display as well as the select entries taking part in the prestigious Concours d’Elegance where cars are judged for outright authenticity and original condition, and the d'Etat Class that are judged for pride of ownership.

Some  of the cars that were be judged or displayed were unique throughout the world and only survive today because of Australia’s kinder weather conditions, and because of the determination and hard work of their respective owners to restore these beautiful classic Jaguars to as near as possible original condition.

For those who enjoy the modern cars, the latest XF’s, XJ’s & XK’s were also displayed. Other British car clubs displayed their marques and models in the attractive surroundings.

The Jaguar Car Club of Victoria is Australia’s oldest and largest Jaguar club with more than 700 members from around metropolitan Melbourne and country Victoria. The club has eight model registers including the SS, MkIV, XKs; MkVs; the E-Types; the XJs, MkV11–Mk10s; Mk1 & Mk11, S-Types and the Modern Classics.

It also has eight country and provincial registers covering most parts of the State from Sunraysia to Gippsland.
